About Us
All Living Sky Alpacas are dual registered with the CLAA (Canadian Llama and Alpaca Association) and the ARI (Alpaca Registry Inc. U.S.A.)Peruvian, Bolivian and Chilean descendants with excellent conformation, a calm manner, and good fibre characteristics reside on our farm. When we first began our alpaca venture in 1997 we loved the dense, crimpy fine fleece of the Peruvian imports but quickly added some coloured animals for variety.
We farmed in Saskatchewan for 35 years, grew pulse and grain crops, and raised livestock prior to our alpaca venture. Our children grew up and began their own adventures. We re-located closer to Regina and set up a small alpaca farm. Some experience with registered livestock and farming methods is helpful in raising alpacas.
Keith loves making fences, gates and equipment for the alpacas. Each year adds to your knowledge of herd and fibre management, which aids you in supporting customers.
Over the past we have had consistent success in the show ring and are very proud of our animals. Saskatchewan’s four season’s weather with very cold winters lends itself to ‘Northern Vigor’ producing very fine, densely fleeced alpacas. We’re always striving for fine fleeces with consistency across the animal without sacrificing conformation or disposition.
